Summary

Muhammad Farasat Abbas received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), China, in July 2015 and July 2021, respectively. He is currently working as an assistant professor in the electrical power engineering department of the U.S.-Pak Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E) at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. He works with the High Voltage Lab at NUST, focusing on designing and testing environmentally friendly insulation for high-voltage equipment and studying electrical discharges in gases and liquids, which are important for the high-voltage industry, low-temperature plasma, and sustainable and reliable power systems. He is currently on a postdoc at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he is involved in the design and testing of power electronic systems under high voltage and harsh environmental conditions. He can be reached at [email protected] or [email protected].
