Message from HoD Research

The research thrust of USPCAS-E NUST aims to focus on R&D relevant to Pakistan’s energy needs and potential. The prominence areas in energy R&D are: Solar PV & Thermal, Wind Power, Biofuels, Green Buildings, Batteries, Supercapacitors, Fuel Cells, Energy Efficiency, Smart Grids, High Voltage, Electric vehicles, Thermal Power Plants, Clean Coal, Combustion, Gasification, Energy Management and Gas Turbines. USPCAS-E is equipped with state-of-the-art research laboratories to facilitate the government, industry, and academia for characterization, to provide break through ideas, solve the industrial technical issues and hands on training to young researchers for the forthcoming challenges. Center has won various grants including HEC, USAID, UNIDO, World Bank, and PSF etc. and also provide consultancy to the energy firms and industries. The Center is collaborating with international universities for joint research projects such as ASU, OSU, USTC, KIST etc.
